other tools/websites

  • File Garden image corruptor - i use this to make glitchy images for my videos. usually i take a screenshot of the PV and then run it through here a bunch of times. stringing them together in rapid succession makes a fun flashy glitchy effect.

  • SPEAR - a program where you can make fucked up noises. you can make them from scratch but i like to import preexisting audio files and then mangle them beyond recognition. then i use them as noise samples (i call them "noisewaves") in my song.

  • DesignDoll - most of my drawings start as reference models posed in designdoll. it's extremely useful for getting specific poses and angles.

  • Freesound - good website to get CC0 sound effects and samples. you need an account to download stuff but it's very easy and non-intrusive from my experience.

  • Free Stock Footage Archive - i use a few stock footage sites but this one is generally the best for abstract or glitchy overlays and footage. attribution is required unless you pay for an extended license but attribution is easy to do. there's also no AI generated garbage on there as far as i can see.
